(CNN) — Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp directed the compliments for history-making referee Stephanie Frappart after her operation at the European Super Cup final.
The Frenchwoman became the first female referee to officiate the European game of a men, as Liverpool defeated Chelsea 5-4 on penalties after an entertaining clash had finished.
Frappart, who took control of the Womens World Cup final in July, was supported by an team of supporters: Frances Manuela Nicolosi and Michelle ONeill of the Republic of Ireland.

Theyre really great, Klopp included of the officials. Whatever you could have thought before the game, there was tension on them like hell with an historic moment.
