G2 Esports’ League of Legends coach Fabian’GrabbZ’ Lohamann demonstrated how G2 was able to conquer on Fnatic in LEC finals under captain Luka’ Perkz’ Perkovic’s guidance.
After they defeated Fnatic 3-2 in a thriller, g2 were crowned LEC Summer Split winners. When they were 2-1 down, things did not look great for them but protected a triumph in Athens and they managed to turn things around.
Now, GrabbZ has shown Perkz stepped in moments that were critical to guide his team to victory.
He explained:”I need to commend Perkz. He’s got a head of steel and he is an absolute beast when it comes to a 2-1 situation. You just know he’d function in that type of game.
“He is the kind of guy that his staff could hold onto and you can trust him to direct you to success. He was also the major voice in sport five – he said before the show that if he’d got his hands it would be a win that is free. In the fifth game, make him and we chose to provide him Syndra the focus.
“All credit to him according to usual, going up against SKT, RNG and Fnatic two, you know being 1-2 down really is his comfort zone.”
G2’s jungler Marcin’Jankos’ Jankowski picked . GrabbZ, who jokes about using a temperamental connection with Jankos, couldn’t help but acknowledge the jungler has had a great season.
He explained:”Jankos are my MVP of this season too. We have this banter on where we pretend to not like each other going. Every day he gets on my nerves once I visit him, and I only want to depart and go home. However, he is very very good at League of also a excellent teammate and Legends. He favors his MVP title”
He’s still very much part of the broadcast, when his side are still playing in the LEC Though GrabbZ isn’t part of their on-stage team. The coach that is G2 has come to be a bit of a meme along with his throws.
He said:”I do it today for your memes. Yes, when we proceed from playing to trolling I become frustrated, incredibly but it’s also a mix with knowing that I’m not only a trainer, I am also an entertainer. So it’s always better to give the audiences a reason to watch you. That’s what G2 are all about, we are not just athletes or merely a League of Legends team.
The national and international dominance of g2 this season means they have become among the favourites going into this year’s League of Legends World Championship. GrabbZ, who is aware of the expectations,” considers they have a good likelihood of winning the tournament.
He explained:”Being favourites is always iffy since we haven’t beaten teams like IG however or confronted a number of the different regions.
“We believe we’ve got a fantastic chance but we do not view ourselves as the guaranteed winners. When we play with our game and prepare, we have a fantastic shot at winning. I think I’d be disappointed when we don’t reach the final but it is dependent upon the circumstances.”
G2 qualified for Worlds as the first seed of Europe meaning they’ve advanced to the band stages – beginning on October 12.
