Chiefs vs Raiders: NFL Week 2 Picks & Predictions

There is a vast range in odds for this game, which will encourage backers of both sides to feel like they have got a number. Some novels opened Kansas City as 10-point favorites, although others started as low as Chiefs -7.5. At present, the spread is too low as Chiefs -7, whilst Raider backers can (and should) grab the +9 living at 5Dimes.
It’s easy, but misleading, to see Kansas City’s offense unstoppable following it dismantled what was once a top-five defense this past year at Jacksonville. But I think that is the notion to possess of their Chiefs’ offense because Jacksonville didn’t perform with a top-five defense.
Jacksonville’s defense was ridden at the security and linebacker places by youth and inexperience and hampered by subject problems which found expression in the ejection of its top linebacker and 10 fines.
Credit Chief coach Andy Reid for understanding as Jaguar defenders repeatedly missed simple, to make the most lost their guy in policy tackles, and otherwise looked clueless and inept in ways that had rather little to do with the quality of the competitor.
What I do remove from Kansas City’s operation in Week 1 is concern regarding its lack of pass rush. Having a sizable lead that certainly made it clear that Jacksonville would be pass-first and confronting a beleaguered Jacksonville offensive line, the Chiefs’ pass rush should’ve flexed its muscles. It’s assumed to be Kansas City’s defensive strength. But against the Jags, it mustered only one sack and two quarterback hits.
Oakland faced a high-profile Denver pass rush without even allowing Von Miller or even the formidable Bradley Chubb or any other Bronco get a sack.
The Raiders’ offensive line was solid using two-time Pro Bowler Rodney Hudson at centre, a Kolton Miller in left tackle, and also also the Patriot Trent Brown debuting at right tackle.
A method from finding rhythm to keep an opposing offense is by controlling time of possession. Expect a strong effort from Alabama running back Josh Jacobs, whose mixture of elusiveness and physicality left him a warranted first-round pick. He will flourish against a Kansas City run defense that was one of the worst final year in categories behind Oakland’s offensive line.
Derek Carr looked more. He was true, read the defense nicely, and spread the ball at all levels of the area to many goals.
Look out for wide receiver Tyrell Williams because the Chiefs don’t have a corner that can match-up with him. Just Charvarius Ward is 6’0.
At 6’3, Williams also boasts a quick 4.48 40 period which makes it simple for him to locate separation for yearly one of the NFL’s most accurate deep passers. He’ll thrive against, downfield and elsewhere a KC secondary that did not look any different from the 31st-ranked edition of the past year.
At which departed tight end Jared Cook had left off, darren Waller picked up. Carr likes to throw to his finish and the combination of athleticism and route-running of Waller created him hard for Denver to contain.
Oakland is going to have an even easier time keeping up with Kansas City’s crime because top wide receiver Tyreek Hill is hurt. Regardless of that it faced a Denver offense, the Raider defense did not look disheveled and it won’t have to get that lots of stops in order for the offense to keep inside the spread of Oakland.
