For the Toyota Owners 400, NASCAR will be live under the lights at the Richmond Raceway in Richmond, Virginia, on Saturday, April 13th.
This is actually the 9th race of the season and Kyle Busch has a commanding lead at the top of the standings. Together with the race’s defending champ, as well as 3 wins on the season, Busch is the odds on favorite to win this Saturday night based on the vast majority of sites.
The Richmond Raceway was a part of NASCAR since the 1950s. It is one of the oldest venues to host NASCAR races and it is a place where many of NASCAR’s legends were created. Richard Petty’s father, lee Petty, won the first race here. NASCAR has run races in Richmond every year.
The track comes with an asphalt surface using a space of .75 miles. It is a fundamental oval with front stretch 4 turns, and a backstretch. After being moved around on the calendar throughout the last couple of years, the spring Richmond race returned into Saturday nights where it has traditionally been held for decades.
