For the second time this month, Michael Roberts’ travel to the 2019 year has suffered a setback.
Less than a week after being waived by the Detroit Lions following a trade with the New England Patriots, the Green Bay Packers released the end after failing a physical.
Thanks last December, to a shoulder injury that landed him on the injured reserve list, Roberts has seen his career take several turns and spins in the months since. The transaction between the Lions and Pats fizzled out due to Roberts failing a physical for the same reason as he continues his rehabilitation and the 25-year-old has landed back on the waiver wire.
Roberts has career totals of 13 receptions for 146 yards and three touchdowns and has appeared in 23 games with the Lions.
